Karin Vaalburg - Lawyer

Karin Vaalburg has been a lawyer since 2002. Besides her job as a lawyer, she was a military reservist in the Royal Army. In fact, she later switched to military life altogether and became a professional officer. The experiences she gained in military life, including working under aggravated conditions and making decisions with major consequences, greatly strengthened her sense of responsibility, decisiveness and sense of purpose!
Now she applies the 'can do' and 'no-nonsense' mentality of military life in her work as a lawyer at HABITAT lawyers. Karin deals with the (living) environment of entrepreneurs and residents. Whether it concerns administrative law, environmental law, or houseboat law, Karin comes up with pragmatic solutions that really help clients move forward.
What can you expect from Karin?
She believes it is important that clients get a good idea at the outset of what proceedings will look like. That way, there are no surprises. In her approach, clarity and accessibility are key. It is important that clients quickly feel comfortable getting to the heart of the problems. When the lines of communication are short, maximum results can be achieved.
Leisure time
In her leisure time, Karin enjoys going to concerts and hiking through the woods. And recently she discovered travelling by train. This way, she makes beautiful trips through Europe.
Ancillary activities
Karin Vaalburg is a member of the Construction Lawyers Association (VBR-A) and the Environmental Law Association. She is also independent chairman of the Hearing and Advisory Committee on Objections and Complaints at the province of Overijssel, and deputy chairman of the Dekens Objections Committee.
